Our ASE certified technicians are experienced in performing oil changes for all makes and models of domestic and import cars, trucks, and SUVs.
A regularly scheduled oil change is essential to prolonging the life of your vehicle. For optimum engine performance, your oil & filter should be changed approximately every 3,000 to 5,000 miles. Although the standard acceptable time period between oil changes is three months or 3,000 miles,or 5,000 miles for synthetic oil, this interval may vary based on conditions such as driving in rush hour traffic, extreme heat or freezing temperatures.
While something like "computer diagnostics" sounds really serious, it's actually one of the most convenient ways to inspect a vehicle for potential problems. In modern cars, electronic control systems "know" and monitor the operating parameters of every component. When the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) that manages the system sees a signal that is outside normal limits, or fails to see an expected change in a signal, it stores a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC).
Our technicians will scan for these codes to determine if there are any potential issues the computer has found. While this usually doesn't point out exactly what the issue is, it will give our technicians an idea as to what tests that need to be done to pinpoint a problem before it becomes debilitating.
Your engine's timing belt is the most important maintenance item in your car. While most newer cars have switched to timing chains (which are theorized to last the lifetime of the engine), older vehicles operate with rubber timing belts. These belts help keep the camshafts and crank timed properly. If these parts are out of sync, serious damage can occur to the engine.
There are regular intervals that your timing belt is recommended to be replaced. We will inspect your timing belt or chain to determine whether or not it needs to be replaced, and let you know about when it should be replaced.
